Baker is one of my favorite kits, as it gives lots of healing, a good sword, and some armor potential! It even has some unknown uses ;)

What the kit gets

At max level, Baker gets an iron sword with unbreaking 1, a leather helmet, a leather chestplate, leather leggings, and iron boots with protection 2. It also gets 3 splash potions of absorbtion 1 and resistance 1 for 8 seconds, a golden apple, 5 cakes, and 32 bread.

Why should you get this kit?

1. Iron sword. The iron sword is one of the best weapons in Blitz SG.
2. Iron boots. These boots have protection 2, giving Baker a slight amount of armor potential.
3. Strong utility. You get absorbtion and resistance pots, which, when used at full health, allow you to take 50% more hits. If that wasn't enough, you also have a gapple in case you get low.
4. Cakes. From scaling walls to trapping people in houses, these cakes are one of the most dynamic pieces of utility. They are also unbreakable, and can only be broken by being eaten.
5. Food. You get 32 pieces of bread, which means you don't need to worry about looting for food. Also, bread gives you high saturation, allowing you to naturally regenerate faster!

Kill effect

It is recommended to use the speed kill effect if playing aggressively, and the instant health or regeneration kill effect if playing passively. However, regeneration and instant health can still be good for an aggressive playstyle if you tend to save your healing for deathmatch.

How to play this kit

Baker is dynamic, and can be played both passively and aggressively. If you play passively, you should loot for a helmet, a chestplate, and leggings, and preferably a rod and a bow. 

Playing aggressively is also very viable. Baker is meant to be tanky without much armor, so you can splash the pots to overpower many players in the early game, and attack them with your iron sword to do a lot of damage. However, you should still loot for the things you need, as Baker does not give much base armor.

You should use the pots in the middle of a fight, because if you use them right before a fight, your enemy can see this and take the opportunity to run away and wait out the pot, making you waste it. You can also splash the pot while you run away, to gain a small health boost and bring you back in the fight. 

It's preferred to use a pot when your enemy has better armor than you, as this means you can potentially win a trade. Your enemy will also be less likely to run when you use a baker pot if you have better armor than them.

The cakes, as previously mentioned, can be used for scaling walls, barricading doors, or trapping people in houses. As well as that, they are also viable in PVP, as you can quickly eat them as an on-the-go food. Additionally, you can place them on the ground in front of your enemy so they will run onto it, giving you a slight reach advantage, as your enemy is a half block higher than you.

The golden apple is best used when you get really low, or you run out of baker pots. Just note that it takes about 3 seconds to eat a gapple, so make sure you have 3 seconds of space from your enemy.

At deathmatch, try to go to middle and make a small wall of cake to block arrows, to force your enemy to fight in melee PVP. Also, try to abuse the cake wall. If you have a bow, hide behind the wall and bowspam. When your enemy is on the other side of it, start jumping and critting your enemy out. Make sure to use your healing strategically. Continue fighting to secure the win!

How to counter this kit

Baker is based on melee pot pvp, so using a kit that inhibits close range PVP, such as SlimeySlime, counters Baker. Also, debuff kits such as Shadow Knight also counter Baker, as the debuffs can help do more damage than the Baker pots absorb. Archer can also counter Baker, as Baker is based on melee PVP.

You can counter the pots by running away and waiting out their duration (8 seconds) to make your enemy waste their pots. 

Summary

Baker is a great kit for buffs, and also gets great gear for pure melee PVP. And it even has some unconventional uses for trolling!
