My parents also lost their house and so they have decided to come live in a hotel for the time being, hopefully we can get some sort of insurance claim but if we can’t we as a family will be moving across the country.

Man that is hard. Heard all about it on news. Im born in LA and altho me and my parents live in Georgia rn, the property that my parents own there are also destroyed. We didnt lose too much as that it was just a small house and there was nothing valuable in there. Still tho wish you the best of luck!
