No more credits doesn't necessarily mean no chests tho… What happens to new items bought on the new arch shop? Does it automatically get claimed on your account or does it go to your chest?

I didn't saw any info about chests. I only came to know that credits are going to removed later and converted into giftcards. They are working on it. I don't think there is any changes related to chests bcz announcements is about credits and thus ranks are not mentioned anywhere.

the chest system is a part of the old software though, so I dont think it will be kept. IDK if this means its gonna leave, prob just gonna get converted to gc too or sum
