This post details my strategy to not cause everyone to hate you. It has worked so far for me, but I see almost everyone fail the simple criteria.

1. Dont beg for ranks
2. Dont spam
3. Dont be innapropriate
4. Dont be rude
5. Dont start arguments if you dont have to - if somone says something you dont like, try to calmly resolve the situation
6. Dont scam or trap people
7. Dont create posts that dont have a valid purpose. Saying “hi” does not constitute a valid purpose.
8. Use common sense

If everyone followed these basic guidelines, ArchMC wouod be a much better place.
