We have spent the past 2 weeks carefully planning and building a new and powerful rack server. This expensive project has marked a milestone for our servers history as we upgraded to incredibly fast and high-tech hardware. On January 10th, all the parts had arrived, and everything was unboxed and carefully put together. Each and every DIMM slot was clicked in place to give it 128gb of DDR5-4800MHz memory, and the Ryzen 9 7950X was gently put in place with its behemoth of a heatsink. All that was left was to install the new NVME boot drive, move all the data, and click the drives in place. Plugging it into the wall for the first time sounded like an airport, and all that was left was to install it.
On January 11th, we had pulled the plug on our old rack server and waved goodbye. We had racked the new server in place, plugged it in, and pressed the power button, and after a short maintenance period, the server finally re-opened on January 12th.
