TOWNS SYSTEM
Our town's system may seem quite advanced at first, but since the last iteration of
Survival, we have actually simplified the system through the use of a menu.
You are unable to access the menu unless you have a town, so to do this, execute the command
/town create <town_name>
. Your town name and other properties are changeable later, so the input you put into the command is not final.
Once you have created your town, there are lots of options that you can take to make it your own. The most sensible thing is to invite people to your town. To do this, you are going to want to execute a series of commands. To bring up the entire admin menu, you want to execute
/town edit
.
The town edit menu looks something like this
When in the edit menu, you can navigate to the
Members tab and invite, promote, and demote players there. Make sure that you trust people whom you give editing access to, or else you may run into issues with them griefing your town!
This is where the Members menu is:
Towns also have cool cosmetic properties that you can change. Things such as color, display name, greeting messages, and farewell messages are all configurable in the menu.
Town logs are also a neat way to moderate what is happening within your town. Navigate to the
Logs button in the menu to see a complete list of every action that has been done in your town. Things such as land claims, member additions, and town actions are all stored here, so you can make sure nothing bad is happening to your town.

Other features, such as town levels and town balance, are also found here. To increase your town level, you need to first deposit money. When clicking on the
Emerald in the menu, you can deposit or withdraw money to and from your account. This makes it super easy to level up your town. The higher level you get, the cooler perks, such as more claims, you can get!
