Ok so hi my name is WERXY I started Arch abt 1-2 months ago so I'm a relatively new player but I just wanted to see if there was something that we as a community could do to make the playing experience for new players better I mean when I first joined arch the 3 things I first noticed were 1: MASSIVE amounts of p2w to the point where its stupidly unfair 2: an INSANE amount of scamming and trapping going on specifically to newer players just getting some decent loot 3: and downright evil players in the server. and I don't mean all or even most but smth that I have noticed is that there are so many players ( specifically ones with high ranks or OP p2w gear) that just feel like they can do whatever they want to whoever they want without consequence, in just my first 3 days on playing on arch I had already been tp Trapped 20+ times and had players just straight up kill me FOR NO REASON and u may be like “ oh they probably needed stuff” but bro who assumes that the kid in unenchanted iron armor Is stacked or smth. and I just feel like the environment on the server is so tilted toward “ those in power stay in power and even gain more and f everyone else" so here's my proposal based on the feedback and reaction I get from this post I may or may not start a charity for new players smth small that will just help them set up some kind of business for themselves or help them get their first 100k and just point them int he right direction o they don't suffer if this is a BRAINDEAD idea lmk if u love this idea lmk. thank you for your time and thank you for reading goodbye.

i'm pretty sure everyone goes through that as a new player, its just the cycle of playing, and you gotta learn not to trust random people who say “tp for loot!” I get its frustrating and the charity isn't a bad idea, but its basically ur initiation to archMC lol.

thank god a started way before the whole tp trapping, but tbh who tf belives the whole tp for free loot crap, if they say that then they gonna tp trap u.

A few short refutations to your topic(purely for fun :D) - WERXY please read through this, I think it'd be quite eye opening for you(especially contention 3 :D)

1. p2w - This is probably the ONLY intention I'll agree with; I do agree that p2w is a super big problem and there are more alternative solutions. However, the server does need money and p2w seems to the owners like the best option. I just wish that we could turn in-game currency into credits so that f2p players could also get these things
2. scamming and trapping - I regard scamming and trapping as more of a hobby than actually a money making method or a way to get rich. Yes occassionally some player with decent loot WILL tp to you in which case you get lucky, however, most of the time, a lot people who have a decent amount of common sense know that if a deal is too good to be true, it probably is. Thus through scamming and tp trapping, only a few players will actually get trapped: the most gullible and the most new, a relatively small portion of the player base. Let's also consider this from a new player's perspective. Say person A plays for ~1 hr, then person B asks person A to tp. If Person A accepts, what is the worst that they could lose?  Probably like 5 diamonds, some iron armor, etc. Nothing purely devestating. Person A should thus learn their lesson, one that their parents should've taught them when they were little: Don't Trust Strangers. In short, those who get scammed/trapped lack either experience or common sense, a relatively small portion. Besides, not much gear or loot can be obtained through scamming/trapping so I honestly don't regard it as a major issue
3. People killing each other for no reason - Oh you Sweet Summer Child. May I introduce to you, the REAL WORLD? In case you haven't noticed, pretty much every country adopts a capitalist-based market model, one based upon selfishness and greed, the exploitation of the poor for the profit of the rich. What makes you think that in a game, it would be any different? As you've previously stated, the main axiom of the rich is(and I'm paraphrasing here), “those who are in power want to stay in power and screw everyone else over”. I'm sorry, does that remind you of anything? Does that remind you of the top 1% of our capitalist world, who will exploit their workers to the extent that they rely on the means of subsistence in order to just survive? Think about this from the rich person's perspective. Why should a rich person enjoin more competition, why should a rich person WANT to have more rich people to compete with them? Obviously it's human nature that a rich would want to stay rich. If otherwise, why aren't Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk distributing large portions of relative wealth(I say relative because the portion they do distribute is ~1%). So in short, the rich wanting to stay rich is natural human nature, natural capitalist nature, natural nature embodied in pretty much every single human. 

In short, Arch isn't going to change. The nature and attitude is what comes naturally. The hardest fight is in itself against human nature. I'd be surprised if anyone could triumph over such a collosssal power. In conclusion: Don't fight against human nature.

@html2 DAM lmao ngl… u kinda cooked BUT even so even though ur right when have humans ever wanted to conform to the things we know are engraved in our DNA when have we ever wanted to be mortal or get hurt or be weak at times when we feel as if we could fight against that. 1. “call me naive or green” had me cracking up. I assume this joke had to do with the Green Party. Anyways I just thought it was funny. Honestly, red would be a more suiting color(not republican red, communist red)
2. “I can't watch ppl lose to those who are stronger and just do nothing about it” - 2 words: “self-complacency”. In our modern day society, self-complacency is possibly the greatest virtue anyone can have. The implementation of self-complacency as a civic virtue in itself gives testament to the mitigating forces of the rich. Yet, from a poor/middle class perspective, self-complacency is something that is incentivized, something to be strived for. You mentioned earlier that you were pretty poor, well self-complacency should be your goal. Those who have power are the ones that enact change(historical examples include the bourgeoisie in the French Revolution, Middle class colonists in the American Revolution, etc)
3. “nature conforms to us”. The Dutch philosopher Spinoza would disagree. We conform the nature. Nature doesn't solely exist to do OUR bidding, rather, we extract from Nature, we are PART of nature, we are PART of the omnipotent being that represents nature as a whole. Thus we aren't to make nature our slaves, for we would then be making ourselves our own slaves, rather, we should conform to nature, to love nature so that nature can love itself, to love nature so that nature can be self-complacent. From a lay-person's perspective this makes no sense, however, this argument is rooted in pantheism/spinoza-ism ig

yeah there is crazy amounts of p2w and if you learn to not trust scammers in the end its still a decent server, but I do like your idea of the noob help thingy, it sounds very time consuming though.

 @w4ter ya probably pretty time-consuming but honestly, I be needing smth to do sometimes when I'm bored so why not ykwim. plus in all honesty, I would probably just make a sho that sells all the things new players would need to start some kind of business for STUPID cheap like maxed zpig spawner for 40k kinda cheap and id probably lose money doing it but idrc.
