Hello everyone. It's TROLLMAN here. So recently I found out that my school had blocked both ArchMC Java IP addresses (mc.arch.lol and mc.arch.mba) This means I am no longer able to play ArchMC on this school device anymore, which is the most often device I play on. It has been a long journey, and I have made a lot of friends and had a lot of fun over the 600 hrs of playtime I have had on this server. As a F2P player, the amount of items I had my hands on in this server was just insane, as I never imagined as it all just began as a way to pass time. This server made me learn a lot of moral lessons, showed me a sliver of society, and so much more. Here are some people that deserve a huge shoutout:

Master_Of_Chaos – Although he quit, he was my main supplier of Legendary Books and Black Scrolls, at extremely steep discounts. Thank you so much man!!!!

WispTheDragon – It was really fun, just as I contemplated quitting, you came in and actually bought something into my day. You made it so that I had something to sort of focus on in-game. But I am afraid we might have to break up. I am so sorry. Wish you the best of luck. :)

Despite the firewall block, there are still some things that I could potentially look into:

1. Eagler for some reason works(sometimes), I can connect to Arch on Eagler(only like half the time, it often says “Connection Refused”…), my guess is that it Eagler Arch uses another IP so it is not banned yet… (I hate Eagler due to the weird head snapping that I experience and the FPS, general buggy experience, and 3000 ping https://arch.lol/forum/threads/6734/see-this-is-the-reason-i-frickin-hate-eagler/ XDDDD so yeah…)

2.Beta Arch still works on Java, same reason as #1

3. Forums is not blocked, likely due to the fact I use a custom Chromium Browser with a private proxy I host on my home PC. (This does not work on Java even with a custom mod that enables a proxy connection)

Potential Reasons that the block was initiated :

1. Milestones (Georgia State Test) The administrators recently installed an update on devices and that might be the reason
2. Eagler is starting to get popular in my school (because of me) and because the admins are unable to block the website (we use offline download .html files) they blocked the most popular server for Java and missed Eagler (The Irony XD)

All things said here are also some things that are going on in my life:

1. Dating a cute Irish redhead girl (ik chat I am getting rizzy)
2. Beating Deadlocked and TOE2 with all 3 coins
3. Maintain 4.1 GPA (yes I am Asian with big brain cells)
4. Dealing with life without a dad (seriously when we moved back to US (I was born in LA) my dad did not come with us)
5. Newfound Pokemon and speedcubing obsession
6. Learning how to telly bridge (dm me on discord if you can my name is sonicboom___)
7. I will probably come back as staff when I reach all the requirements

9. Upgrading my Home PC from GTX 1060 to RX 6700XT

First, if you do end up leaving, its been great having you as a friend and I'll miss you a ton, as will the rest of the server. I've known you well before you got your rank, and you've always been nice.

Also GL speedcubing! I used to do that a TON (and i mean a TON), but I could never get a faster solve than like 12 seconds :(

Potential Solutions:

Eagler works because of one of two reasons, first, because it uses a websocket connection rather than whatever normal Java Edition uses, and second because of your proxy. If you want better ping, I'd try using a regular browser with no proxy, just to see if it is blocked. I'd recommend either Astra Client (https://astraclient.com) or Pixel Client (https://devjakob.webs.vc/launcher)

Proxy servers might also help, I bet you can use a ViaProxy server to connect to arch (even if you're using the same version it should still work), but the antiVPN might not like that.

It’s been a genuinely fun experience playing with you. I still don’t really know who you are (which I guess is on me for never asking), but I’ve really enjoyed our time together, I'll definitely miss it. As for school restrictions, most of it comes down to understanding how the network perimeter is structured. Figure out what firewall solution they’re using, study the configuration, and identify potential gaps. Misconfigured rulesets, overlapping policies, or conflicting protocols can all be exploited with the right approach. For instance, GlobalProtect by Palo Alto sometimes clashes with my dad’s firewall in a way that unintentionally bypasses both its own filters and the custom restrictions my dad set up. Things that should be blocked end up accessible. Maybe try using this to your advantage and i know half of the things dont even make sense since this is specific to FBISD school distrcit but I know there are other application to it as well, I hope you find a way through and join us in ArchMc.

yea i can turn off my proxy in my browser, which i do while i play mc, i still get extremely high ping from time to time

i also have .html for both eagler 1.12 and astra wasm. 

my school also has anti-vpn software, rip ;-; :P
