shadeslayer being polite/chivalrous is probably the biggest thing that most girls who are keepers look for. If you're going for a casual fling, you could employ looking cool, or just simple interaction, but if you're looking for “the one” then being kind and polite without being over the top over a long period of time will work best.

Agreed. Half of my forums are just me replying “lol” to people's posts, and the other half are structured and I actually put effort into them. Generally, if its about an issue I feel strongly about, I usually write more.

you really need to take initiative, you need to try to go out of your way to talk to her, invite her places like boba or coffee, eventually bring her to a decent restaurant or something, and on that night, you ask her out. Another good way to get close to her is to become friends with her friends, and hang out with them often.
