To maintain a safe, inclusive, and well moderated environment for all players, English is the only permitted language in public chat. This policy enables our moderation team to effectively monitor conversations and ensure that community standards are upheld.

However, we recognise and respect the diversity of our playerbase. Therefore, the use of other languages is permitted in private messages, party chat, and land chat, where communication is limited to smaller, self selected groups and does not require the same level of oversight and moderation.

To clarify: languages themselves are not “disabled” on the server. Players are technically free to type in any language, but we ask that only English be used in public chat. This is not about discrimination or favoritism, it's a practical moderation decision.

As stated, our moderation team can't effectively monitor messages in languages that they don’t understand. Allowing unrestricted use of all languages in public chat would create gaps in moderation coverage, increase the risk of rule breaking going unnoticed, and reduce the overall safety and fairness of the chat environment.

With that said, players are still free to use other languages in private messages, party chat, and land chat, where moderation is less intensive and focused on group-based communication.

We’re also open to adding more multilingual moderators. If you or others speak another language fluently and want to help out, we encourage you to apply and support moderation efforts for your language community.
