Welcome to the Arch.MC Giveaways! This is where community members flex their wealth by burning their money and prized possessions on greedy, hungry 12 year olds.Giveaways are a great way to show your generosity and become better known in the community (and to show off how rick you are). However, there are rules and guidelines that need to be followed to avoid scamming, compromised accounts, advertising, and other chaos.
GIVEAWAY HOSTING RULES
Before you start throwing your gems around, make sure you understand what you're getting into!Essential Requirements for Hosts:
- No Fake Giveaways: If you create a giveaway, you MUST follow through. No abandoning it once you start, no rigging winners, no claiming alternate accounts won. The staff team will find out and you will be punished accordingly, possibly even loose whatever possessions you were planning to giveaway.
- Set an End Date: Always include when your giveaway ends. This helps staff keep the forums organized and lets people know when to expect results.
- No Post/Like Boosting: Don't try and require people to make multiple posts, reply on other threads to hijack them, repost your original thread, or ask users to like your post. This creates spam, if people didn't respond the first time what makes you think they're going to care the 2nd or 3rd time. Shut up.
- Advertising: You are allowed to advertise YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, etc. while hosting a giveaway.
- Only One Giveaway: Users are only allowed to host one giveaway at any given time.
Giveaway Best Practices:
- Clear title stating what you're giving away
- Simple entry requirements (just a reply with "thx" works)
- Announce the winner publicly in your thread
- Edit your original post to show when it's finished
GIVEAWAY PARTICIPATION RULES
You really wanna be the high roller? Here's how to get the best chances:- Follow the host's entry requirements exactly
- Don't spam multiple entries unless explicitly allowed
- Be gracious whether you win or lose. You're not gambling here, and nobody wants to hear you whine and pamper.
- Don't harass hosts about results - they have lives too
- If you win, claim your prize promptly when contacted
- If giveaway hosts do not follow through, be sure to contact a staff member
ENFORCEMENT AND CONSEQUENCES
First Time Issues: Verbal warning from staff. You'll have a chance to fix your giveaway.Continued Rule Breaking: Warning points and thread closure.
Inactive Giveaways: If your giveaway sits inactive for 7 days, it will be marked inactive and closed.
